Bike

Athlete Instructions:  ATHLETES ONLY IN TRANSITION!

#1 – it is your responsibility to read and know the Alberta Triathlon Association (www.triathlon.ab.ca) rules and regulations! Of special note is the “at fault accident occuring with bicycles” with respect to insurance!

IF NECESSARY, get bike checked. Then rack bike at the transition area (pool parking lot – see main map).

Swimmers leave pool through gate at west side, pick up their bikes, WALK their bikes across the

crosswalk, and ride their designated course.


Cyclists ages 18+ adult ride – 20K (Red Bibs)

– Go west on Edgar, turn left on John, turn right on Windsor and go west on
highway 546 to the 10K turn around point. Return back the way you came to the finish line.

Cyclists ages 12 to 17 – 10 K  (Blue and Yellow Bibs)
– Go west on Edgar, turn left on John, turn right on Windsor and
go west on highway 546 to the 5K turn around point. Return back the way you came to the finish line.

Cyclists ages 8 to 11 – 4.5K (Orange and Green Bibs)
– Go west on Edgar, turn left on John, left on Windsor,  turn
left on Hubert. Repeat for a total of 3 laps then turn right on Edgar to finish
line.


Cyclists ages 7 and under – 1k (Purple Bibs)
– Go west on Edgar, turn left on George, turn left on Windsor,
turn left on Hubert and right on Edgar to the finish line.

Cyclists dismount and walk their bikes across crosswalk to transition, rack their bikes and do
their designated run on the Friendship Trail.
